Margot Robbie Joins the Launch of New Nissan Formula E car 

Nissan completed its Formula E launch tour in Los Angeles this week with an event led by Margot Robbie, the company's electric vehicle and sustainability ambassador, heralding an exciting era for Nissan as it enters the ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

Robbie spoke at the event about her experience driving an electric vehicle in the city, and about her pride in serving as an ambassador for Nissan's electric vehicles.

"I've already seen many of Nissan's initiatives, designed to bring cleaner air to roads and fairer access to power across the globe. And now, we have this – a fantastic new Formula E car," said Robbie. "I'm excited to see how it will help Nissan develop its EV offering further and bring new and exciting technologies to communities across the world." 

Nissan's entry into the electric street racing series coincides with the launch of the new generation Formula E car, featuring striking new aerodynamics and a whole new battery and powertrain package. The Nissan Global Design team in Japan designed the livery.

During the first weeks of December, we collected toys for Toys for Tots and the children of Puerto Rico who were affected by the effects of Hurricane Maria.

In late November, our Wesley Chapel Nissan Community involvement team dropped off school supplies and book bags for the children at Cypress Creek Middle School!

Nissan helps revamp Florida Keys in wake of Hurricane Irma

It's been over two months since Hurricane Irma slammed the southeastern U.S., but the devastation left behind remains – and one of the industries hit hardest is fly fishing. That's why Hilary Hutcheson, a top fly-fishing guide based in Montana, teamed with Nissan and other outdoor brands to help with cleanup efforts in support of the Florida Keys Fishing Guides' Association.

"When I saw my friends in the Keys lose 30 guide days in the wake of Hurricane Irma – as well as their boats and homes in some cases – I felt a burning concern that was perhaps fueled by my own experience in the harsh smoke of Montana's devastating wildfires," said Hutcheson. "But I only lost nine days of guiding, not 30. I wanted to help those who took a gale-force slugging in the Keys."

Equipped with a powerful 2017 Nissan TITAN, Hutcheson and a crew of fellow outdoor industry members hauled truck-loads of debris to community trash piles to support the clean-up efforts.

Among those assisted was Bill Becker, a local radio host who chose not to evacuate during the storm so he could deliver up-to-date news to all locals who stayed behind. While broadcasting from his house to keep residents informed, Becker says his yard was destroyed. After a full day of clean up, Hutcheson wasn't done. She and her crew participated in a local fly-fishing tournament over the weekend to raise money for local guides – and the effects of that event are sure to be felt long after this past weekend as cleanup efforts continue.

"We wanted to make a statement that the Keys are open for business and that one of the best ways to keep the guides on the poling platform is to book a charter with them," said Hutcheson. "I'm grateful to everyone who participated in this effort and to those who are doing so many small and large things to help."

Wesley Chapel Nissan Supports Relief Efforts in Puerto Rico

During the month of October, Troy, our very own Public Relations Manager, worked tirelessly to bring relief and support to those most affected by hurricanes in Puerto Rico.

Troy traveled to Puerto Rico on a mission funded by Wesley Chapel Nissan owner Jay Rosario, to help the disaster victims of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria. Troy also played a central role in organizing our donation drive and was able to fill two semi-trucks worth of donations with the help of the local community of Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Along with our partners, we were able to send thousands of pounds of goods to Puerto Rico including medical supplies, first aid, medicines, equipment, construction supplies, food, water, hygiene items, paper goods, baby items, and more!

Little Brodi was one of many in the Wesley Chapel community who came and contributed, but his story is unique and inspirational. This 8-year-old boy came to our dealership on his birthday and had all his friends bring much needed supplies to ship to Puerto Rico instead of presents. Thank you Brodi for being such a role-model!

Casino Night: Fun for a Great Cause

At Wesley Chapel Nissan, we will be hosting a Casino Night on Friday, August 25th from 7-10pm at the dealership at 28519 SR 54, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544. The event will raise funds for baby Clayton Mahler and the Rotary Club Scholarship Program for Wesley Chapel area High Schools. The event is open to the public and tickets are available online. 

Main activities for the event include casino games, a silent auction, raffles, prizes, and music by Finest DeeJays. Complimentary heavy hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

Clayton Mahler, a 16-month old resident of Land 'O Lakes, was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a stage 3 cancer of the muscle origin. He is facing 40 weeks of chemotherapy coupled with radiation. Funds raised will help with the many expenses not covered by insurance and deductibles.

A portion of the funds raised during the evening will also support Scholarship funds awarded to graduating seniors from Wesley Chapel area High Schools.

“We are happy to give back to our community and to see such an outpouring of support to help baby Clayton and our graduating students,” said Joey Falcon, Executive General Manager of Wesley Chapel Nissan. “We would also like to thank our other sponsors for their contributed involvement with this event including Mosquito Hunters, Lakeside Heating, Cooling & Plumbing, and Cash for Gold Wesley Chapel.”

The 2017 Altima embraces Nissan's bold design language. Known by designers as "energetic flow," the new look was introduced on the latest generation Murano crossover and Maxima sports sedan. 

For Altima, the "energetic flow" design language is expressed by the low muscular front fascia, distinctive "V-motion" grille and deep bumpers. The Altima hood and fenders are accented with a tailored character lines, while the available LED signature boomerang headlights, fog lights and Daytime Running Lights create a distinctive contemporary "face."

In the rear, the fascia and bumper add a dramatic character. The look is highlighted by wide four-piece taillights featuring a signature boomerang shape. The trunk lid incorporates an integrated spoiler for the Altima SR grade.

Special attention to aerodynamics includes active grille shutters, underfloor aero covers and the detailed front and rear fascia and windshield designs. The result is a coefficient of drag of just 0.26 Cd (SV and SL models).

Special efforts were also made in the design to enhance durability, quality and reliability) and noise, vibration and harshness levels. For example, Altima utilizes acoustic (laminated) windshield glass to help create a quieter cabin, aiding use of the Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone and Voice Recognition systems. Efforts were also made to isolate noise created by hard acceleration, utilizing insulation and sound barriers, especially in the firewall area. In addition, the engine mounts and large center muffler further reduce sound transmission into the Altima interior.

The 2017 Altima is available in nine colors: Deep Blue Pearl, Java Metallic, Brilliant Silver, Gun Metallic, Super Black, Pearl White, Glacier White, Storm Blue and Cayenne Red.

Nissan' redesigned Z-car could reach 500 horsepower

It has been over eight years since Nissan 370Z was introduced to the public. Now we can’t wait for the redesign of the Nissan legendary Z-car to be released.
