For the past three years, sales for the Nissan Rogue has increased more than ever. Nissan completely redesigned the 2014 model and is now taking another huge leap for the 2017 Rogue with a new design, enhanced utility, and more advanced safety technologies. In addition, there will be a new gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain available in either front-wheel or all-wheel-drive, which has never been offered in Rogue history. The Rogue hybrid will join the showroom by the end of 2016.
Michael Bunce, vice president, Product Planning, Nissan North America, Inc. said that "There are so many enhancements to Rogue for 2017, with every one of them designed to enhance its appeal with the fastest growing segment of buyers in the industry."
The upgraded exterior design for the 2017 Rogue includes a new front fascia with integrated fog lamps, bumper, Nissan signature "V-Motion" Grille, and refined headlights with LED signature Daytime Running Lights. An updated rear has been added including revised combination lamps with LED boomerang signature taillights with new chrome-trim side door moldings complete the modern appearance. The 19 inch aluminum wheels will also be available on SL models.
The 2017 Rogue will be offered in a variety of exterior colors: Midnight Jade, Brilliant Silver, Gun Metallic, Magnetic Black, Pearl White, Glacier White, and the new Monarch Orange, Caspian Blue, and Palatial Ruby.
For the interior, many new enhancements include a new D-shaped steering wheel and leather-booted sport-mode shifter. Also available will be a heated steering wheel, memory for driver's seats and mirrors, and remote engine start. Updated design features include new door and instrumental panel finishers, new shift knob design, revised center console and new seat fabric.
Rogue shield safety technologies offer a radar-based Blind Spot Warning and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. For the first time, the 2017 Rogue will include Lane Departure Warning, Lane Departure Prevention, Intelligent Cruise Control, and Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection.
