New Star Wars Themed Nissan TV Spot


With the new upcoming film "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", Nissan unveiled a new TV spot that promoted the new 2017 Nissan Rogue. The purpose of the advertisement was to highlight the Rogue's safety shield technologies and how it can take on any "galaxy". This campaign was aimed towards a new target of Star Wars and Nissan fans.

Jeremy Tucker, vice president, Marketing Communications and Media stated, "Through this exciting campaign, Nissan offers customers new Star Wars experiences as well as a unique look at what driving with the advanced technologies already available on Nissan's industry-leading cars, trucks, and SUVs brings."

The Nissan Rogue takes place in a fictional Nissan test facility where vehicles go through different safety tests and driving obstacles. Instead of normal routing driving obstacles, a Nissan Rogue and driver is encompassed by Star Wars themed simulations and heroic battles. The final test reveals one of the Rogue's infamous safety technologies, it's Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection overcoming stormtroopers, fighters, and other obstacles in the Rogue's way.

The Forward Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection provides audio and visual signals to warn the driver of a potential frontal collision. If a collision is inescapable, it can engage the brakes to reduce the speed and severity of a potential crash.
